My Story

In 2011 I bought my first camera – a pocket-sized ‘flip’ camcorder – with the intention of creating music videos (I'm also a music producer). I never got around to doing an actual a music video, however, I photographed many of flowers and lizards in my backyard.

My curiosity was piqued!

Twelve months later I graduated to a digital SLR camera and started spending several hours outdoors, developing a love for nature and a passion for photography.

By 2016 I had captured thousands of images from around Dominica. Many of those images featured places my own countrymen and women could not identify. This prompted me to begin work on a photography book which I published in August 2017.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

present day

In 2019 I ditched the monotony of a regular job and jumped into world of self-employment as a professional photographer!

I am substantially happier and free to explore my creative tugs and pulls. I do hope you find something interesting on my website and stick around for more content.
